Unidirectional geogrid

Uniaxially stretched geogrid is a kind of high-strength geotextile, which is mainly made of high molecular polymer, added with certain anti ultraviolet and anti-aging additives, re oriented and arranged in a linear state through uniaxial stretching, extruded and pressed into thin plates, punched into regular pore networks, and then stretched longitudinally.

1. Unidirectional geogrid is used to reinforce weak foundations: Geogrid can quickly increase the bearing capacity of the foundation, control the development of settlement, and effectively distribute the load to a wider base layer for the road base. This reduces the thickness of the base layer, lowers the project cost, shortens the construction period, and extends the service life.

2. Unidirectional geogrid is used for reinforcing asphalt or cement pavement: geogrid is laid at the bottom of asphalt or cement pavement, which can reduce the depth of ruts, extend the fatigue life of the pavement, and reduce the thickness of asphalt or cement pavement to save costs.

3. Unidirectional geogrid is used to reinforce embankment slopes and retaining walls: Traditional embankments, especially high embankments, often require over filling and the shoulder edges are difficult to compact, resulting in rainwater infiltration and collapse instability of the slope in the later stage. At the same time, a relatively gentle slope is needed, which occupies a large area, and retaining walls also have the same problem. Using geogrid to reinforce embankment slopes or retaining walls can reduce half of the occupied area, extend the service life, and reduce costs by 20-50%.

4. Unidirectional geogrid is used to reinforce river seawalls: it can be made into stone cages and used together with the grid to prevent the dam from collapsing due to seawater erosion. Stone cages have permeability and can slow down the impact of waves, extend the life of the dam, save manpower and material resources, and shorten the construction period.

5. Unidirectional geogrid is used to treat landfill sites: when combined with other geosynthetic materials, geogrid can effectively solve problems such as uneven settlement of the foundation and emissions of derived gases, and can maximize the storage capacity of landfill sites.
